Professor Layton and the Curious Village - Game Review

I finally finished playing Professor Layton and the Curious Village. The citizens of the little town of St. Mystere loves puzzles. Professor Layton and his apprentice, Luke, arrive in order to solve a murder mystery as well as settle things about a will and a treasure. The story unfolds and as you walk around town, searching for clues, you must solve all sorts of puzzles along the way. You have to poke around to find the puzzles, sometimes by talking to the townsfolk, sometimes by investigating a random object. There are hint coins you can find and collect, and then use it for hints on how to solve the more challenging puzzles.

I found some of the puzzles a lot easier than the 2nd game, Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box (I played it out of order). The story was interesting as well, and there were of course some challenging puzzles. The animation and videos are very impressive, though not as good quality as the second game. There are some special extras that encourage you to purchase the next game, including a secret door that you can only open using a code found in the second game! Crazy! It's a worthwhile game to buy, though maybe get it when it's on sale (of course) or second hand, since once you solve all the puzzles and get through the story line, I doubt you will play it again. Hope you all enjoy it!
