News 1130 Tweetup @ The Sandbar #1130TU

The 3rd annual News1130 tweetup occurred last week at The Sandbar on Granville Island. The food was delicious and it was a great night to meet other tweeps and the staff of News1130. My friends and I had a fascinating conversation with the News1130 news director, Bruce Claggett, who gave us some insight into the world of news and journalism. I can't wait until the tweetup next year!

Pan seared scallops with basil pineapple jam & Fireset Ahi tuna tataki with pickled cucumbers.

Sockeye salmon gravalax with sweet onion marmalade.

Crab and lobster dumpling with roasted garlic, lemon and soy aioli.

Tempura oysters with pickled ginger and pink grapefruit salsa.

We decided to stay for dinner since the appetizers were so good. Linguine Vongole with clams.
