Which tablet is the best on the market?

With new tablets flooding the market, which one have you chosen to buy?

Apple iPad 2

The second generation of the iPad is now thinner and lighter than the first gen. With the addition of two camera (one front and one back), it gives you facetime and the ability to record videos in HD. It has a 9.7 inch screen with LED backlighting The battery life is about 10 hours, which I really liked from the first generation iPad because I rarely had to charge it. With the launch of the iPad 2, Apple has also released the new Smart Cover, which magnetically fits together and keeps the iPad screen clean. When you close it, the iPad shuts off, and when you open it, it turns on. It's only a mere $39.

Once again, the iPads come in 16, 32 and 64 GB with or without 3G. You also get the choice of a white or black iPad 2. There is still no Flash support (Thanks a lot, Jobs) but with hundreds of apps available from iTunes, you probably can keep busy just playing games or trying out new apps.

Price: Starting at $519 for Wi-Fi only; $649 for Wi-Fi + 3G

Samsung Galaxy Tab

Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in February during the Mobile World Congress, and followed uhe tablets are both thinner than their predecessor (8.6mm) with a 1GHz dual core processor. There are two cameras: 2mp front facing and 3mp rear, offering 1080p HD video. Thep with the announcement of the Galaxy Tab 8.9 a month later. Compared to the first tab (7.0) T Galaxy tabs are Flash enabled (hurray!) and run on Android 3.0.

Price: ?? I don't believe these tabs are available in Canada yet, but the first generation Galaxy Tab starts at$449.99 so I'm guessing the price range is a little higher than this.

Motorola Xoom

Motorola also released a tablet of their own earlier this month. Like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it runs on Android 3.0 and has a dual-core processor. It has a 10.1 inch screen and a front (2mp) and back (5mp) facing camera. There is a full-function camcorder that allows you to take video in HD. And best of all, it supports Flash!

Price: $599.99

Blackberry Playbook

RIM is the latest company to roll out a tablet. The Blackberry Playbook with Wi-Fi has a 7 inch LCD display and comes in 16, 32 and 64GB formats. It boasts a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, Flash support and has a 3mp front facing camera and 5mp rear-facing camera. The Playbook allows you to connect with your Blackberry smartphone to accress your email, contacts, calendar, etc.

Price: Starting at $499.99

Of course, these are not the only tablets that are out in the market, but they seem to be the most popular ones, associated with the greatest companies. Which one are you eyeing? Just looking at these tablets has me salivating, but I'm partial to the Samsung Galaxy Tab (no bias here, nope). Can't wait to get my hands on one...Let me know which one you have and how you like it! I'm going to run off and play with the tablets at the nearest electronics store!
