Vancity Member Day at Science World - Free Admission! (May 2)

The first 422 Vancity members will receive free admission to Science World on Saturday, May 2, in celebration of Earth Day (4/22). Bring your Vancity Member Car or Vancity Enviro Visa to guest services at Science world to get in for free! Additional members and their guests will receive 50% off admission. LEGO Star Wars Rebels Make and Take (Nov 1)

Toys R Us is hosting another make and take event. This time, build your own LEGO Star Wars Ghost Ship! The even starts at 11am on November 1, and is for kids between 4 to 14 years, while quantities last. Go early to avoid disappointment!

LEGO Batman Bat-Signal Make and Take at Toys R Us (Oct 25)

Bring your kids to Toys R Us on October 25th to make their own Lego Batman bat-signal! The event is for children between 4 to 14 years of age. One model per child, while quantities last. The event starts at 11am, but make sure to go early as LEGO builds are always very popular!

Free Movies on Community Day @ Cineplex Theatres (Oct 18)

Cineplex Theatres is hosting Community Day on the morning of October 18th with free movies! Doors open at 8:30am and movies begin at 9am. Select concession items will be $2 each, with proceeds going to Free The Children Foundation. This is a great time to take your family out to the movies. IMAX 3D Sneak Peak of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy

Marvel Studios announces Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”: An IMAX 3D First Look—featuring 17 minutes of exclusive footage of Marvel’s highly anticipated summer blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy.” The sneak peek will be showcased in select IMAX locations across Canada on July 7, 2014, at 7 p.m.

Select IMAX 3D theatres nationwide and internationally will offer the special screening of thrilling, never-before-seen 3D footage of the James Gunn-directed epic space adventure, which opens across Canada on August 1, 2014.

Commenting on the exclusive footage, director James Gunn says,  “We’ve re-mastered some of our epic sequences into the IMAX format, taking the scope and scale to new heights while creating a truly immersive, cinematic experience that will take you further into the Marvel Universe than ever before.”

Tickets to the July 7th Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy”:  An IMAX 3D First Look are free and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis starting today at 12:00 p.m EST through www.facebook.com/MarvelCanada.

Fans who attend this sneak peek will also receive a limited edition collectible Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” IMAX poster.

The Noodle Box Grand Opening Celebration (Mar 29)

The Noodle Box is opening up a new location on Main Street (2511 Main Street, Vancouver BC) and they are celebrating by giving out free noodle boxes! Happening this Saturday, March 29^th, you can get your own stir fry noodle box for absolutely free from noon until 5pm. Donations would be appreciated and would benefit the Mount Pleasant Neighbourhood House. Head on down for some noodles and community spirit!

Free Skating at Robson Square

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than some skating in an outdoor rink? Robson Square is opening their ice rink once again, and is free if you bring your own skates! Skate rentals will be available for $4 and a concession stand will also be on site. Check their website for skating times.

LEGO City Fire Mini Model Build (Oct 10)

Wow, another mini model build from LEGO this month! In honour of Fire Safety Week, kids ages 6-14 can learn to build a LEGO Fire Plane model and take it home for free! There are approximately 150 per store and the even begins at 5pm. Go early, as these mini model builds are always very popular!

The Fair at the PNE is back, and they are once again offering free admission tomorrow, Tuesday, August 20th, from 11am to 1pm. It's a great time to bring the family down to check out what the Fair has to offer!
