Bolt - New Disney movie

So another new Disney DVD has come out! This time it's Bolt, another family fun movie. I watched this in theatres with my sister, a pretty good movie! The characters are super cute! My sister even went out and splurged on a GIANT Bolt plushie at the Disney store.



I have a blu-ray copy...but no blu-ray player! I'll keep it for now, but not gonna open it yet. Who knows, maybe we will get a blu-ray player soon.

Pinocchio

Picked up Disney's Pinocchio DVD a few weeks ago when they first released it. Best Buy was offering a free cup with purchase, and of course, being the Disney fan that I am, went to buy a copy! Haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet, but it is the 2 disc 70th anniversary edition and is packed with bonus features. Probably will open it after exams.

Neutrogena Wave Facial Cleanser - Product Review

A couple days ago, I bought a Neutrogena Wave facial cleanser by Johnson & Johnson. I have seen the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Rejuvenator (which I bought for my mum and aunt as presents for Mother's Day - review to come soon when they get them!) but that is geared towards older women, about 40+. The Wave is more of a daily facial cleanser for younger girls so I thought I would give it a try. Here's how it looks like:



Each box comes with the Wave cleanser, 2 sealed packs of pads and an AA battery. Pop off the battery hatch, put the battery inside, stick on a pad, press the on button and you're ready to go! Except...

I COULDN'T GET THE BATTERY LATCH OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I tried everything, and SO DID MY SIS! We even read on the box, press gently to open...nothing happened. So we tried several other ways, prying it, pressing down, etc! NOTHING. So I couldn't use it! Then the next day I asked my dad to help me...he popped it off no problem and now I can get it off easily too! He must have loosened it or something!

So I tried it last night, and I can't say it's the best thing out there. The pads are sort of like felt that is soaked with cleanser, and it is supposed to foam when you run it under water and start the cleaner (it vibrates). It doesn't foam as much as they advertise it does and seems like a waste to just throw away the pad only after you use it once, considering how expensive the refills are!

I'll let you know in a week or so how my face/skin feels if I use it every night. Would I pay money for this? No, probably not. You are probably better off just using your hands and massaging a facial cleanser onto your face.

ZOMG can't wait until school is over!

Only 2.5 weeks left. TONS of papers left to write, presentations to do, research. AARGH. I'm so sick of it, after 5 years. Then I'll have to find a job. IN THIS ECONOMY?! Ugh I don't know what I'm going to do! Go shopping full time. Open my own store. Who knows. God knows I have enough stuff to open up a shop LOL. Well actually it's the end of most of my good coupons, just need to finish using some of them up and I'm done. Got some FPC's though. Probably should trade them. I have another Kashi cereal one but I'm saving it to get at Buy Low Foods coz I know they don't charge tax. Anyway. Also got a Dawn Detergent that I have FPC for. Yus. Maybe I will get it over there as well. I'll see. Hmm. Have Pledge FPC but I don't think I will use it coz I have so many Mr. Clean cleaners. No more cleaning supplies, I think I have enough for a lifetime! Unless I start cleaning once a week, but I don't see that happening.
My coupon collection is getting out of control! I don't have room to put them all, but I also don't know who to give them to! Maybe I will just stick them ontop of the products in stores and get rid of some that way. I always include a huge wad of extras in all my trades, so much that it goes over the weight limit and I end up having to pay extra postage.
Tried cleaning my room today, it's a little neater, but the problem is I have too much stuff and no place to put it! UGH. This sucks. I hate school. I hate life.

New Hydralicious Shampoo from Herbal Essences - Product Review

A while ago, I signed up to participate in another Matchstick promotion. This time it was for the new Hydralicious shampoo and conditioner by Herbal Essences.
I have used HE shampoo in the past and I really liked it, so I was eager to try this new product by them!

Matchstick sent me a box with one of each type of the newest shampoo and conditioner. It was great! Nice packaging too.



Here's my review:

The shampoo is nice, very pretty to look at. It smells great too! It is a little thicker than the usual shampoos I use, so you only need a small amount. I have been using Pantene Expressions recently, and that leaves my hair very silky and smooth. The Herbal Essence doesn't make my hair as soft, but it's a great shampoo nevertheless. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to everyone. There are 3 different types to choose from.

midterms are done, now it's projects and papers and assignments galore. textbook readings are piling up and i still have to start my paper. field work is (hopefully) finished for bio 448 but now i have to collect data for 405. zomg. so tired. i really need to get to bed earlier.

finished reading another michael crichton book, the great train robbery. really good, very historical though. i want to watch the movie now! and congo and disclosure and any other movies based on crichton's books.

wanted to go to lougheed to shop at london drugs and walmart today but i signed up for a study a while back and it's from 1-3, so have to stay in. boo. i'll have to go tomorrow i guess. no more waffle sale! boohoo!

omg, so tired

i need to sleep earlier! i was watching the pilot episode of las vegas last night since i finally found some links to it, only it took forever to buffer. good ep though, now i have to watch the other 21 eps in season 1. also chuck aired last night in 3d and i didn't even know about it. jeun said it will air again tonight. hope i dont forget.

i'm working on directed studies stuff, my prof is crackin' that whip. i don't know if i will get full marks for effort this time lol coz i haven't done a lot yet. just sort of make a map, and then fix up my methods and results from the zonation paper. also added things into emily's methods, which was a super rough draft.

zzz i think i need to take a nap.

The Pink Panther 2 - Movie Review

I won a pair of tickets to an advanced screening of The Pink Panther 2 so I took my cousin along to watch. I've never seen the first movie, so I didn't know what to except. I thought the movie was hilarious! I know critics say it's terrible, but I thought it was pretty good! Everyone was laughing a lot. Steve Martin reprises his role as inspector Jacques Clouseau, a bumbling idiot. He has to recover the Pink Panther diamond once again, as it has been stolen AGAIN. So funny. I'm going to watch the first movie soon, good thing my sister has it!

Inkheart - Movie Review

Snagged a pair of advanced screening passes to Inkheart, starring Brendan Fraser. I thought it was a pretty good movie, not the best, but good enough to watch with your family. There were some cool special effects and interesting characters. Brendan Fraser plays Mo, a Silvertongue, who can bring characters from books to life by reading outloud. His daughter inherits this ability as well. Mo accidentally reads some villians out from Inkheart, and reads his wife into it. He spends his life searching for a copy of Inkheart so he can get his wife back. Andy Serkis plays the villian Capricorn, who is trying to bring the evil and powerful Shadow to take over earth.

Back to School

Finally the last term of my university degree!! Taking 3 courses this term, but still so busy because they all have projects - AHH! I'm already so frustrated and hw is starting to pile up, and it's only the start of the 3rd week.

So shopping. Did a lot of coupon shopping during the holidays. Just in December 2008, I saved almost $400 just using coupons. My out of pocket total I would guess is less than $40, maybe even less than $25. Darn those pesky taxes!

I'm going to keep track of how much I save during January. So far it's about $40, but only coz I haven't been doing a lot of shopping since school started. I'm waiting for the new brandsaver coupons to come so I can use them at London Drugs to get Olay products. I love London Drugs!

So a couple of weeks ago, my free Zune kit arrived in the mail. It included a 8GB Zune, a set of premium Zune headphones and an AC adapter. So far it's been pretty cool, you can transfer songs and pictures wirelessly between Zune users and has an FM radio. The album art is shown with each song on a colour screen, which I like. However, syncing the Zune is a bit confusing and so are the playlists. I still prefer to use iTunes.

Bamfield

Leaving for Bamfield Friday morning. I asked my dad to drive me to school since I would have to lug a sleeping bag, my backpack and a suitcase to school. The bus is pretty jam packed at 9am. Hopefully it won't rain *crosses fingers* since I didn't buy the waterproof pants yet. I'm going to wait until Wednesday night to check the weather again, and if it's rainy, MAYBE I will go buy a pair Thursday after school. But probably not. I'll just sit on a plastic bag or sth LOL.
