Theory of a Deadman Concert Pictures @ Orpheum Theatre

My second concert this week! I went to see Theory of a Deadman last night at the Orpheum (a very odd venue choice!). Because it was a smaller theatre, the bass was blasting out over the speakers and my whole body was vibrating. It was pretty intense! I'm not too familiar with most of TOADM songs, but I did recognize some from the radio and it was a really fun concert. Here are some pictures and videos.

Year of the Dragon Celebration @ International Village (Jan 27-29)

Allstar Weekend Concert Pictures @ The Vogue

I went to the Allstar Weekend concert on Friday night. To tell you truth, I have no clue who they are. I had to redeem a code for any concert ticket but the selection was very limited so I settled on this one. There were several opening acts: Hollywood Ending, Before You Exit and The After Party, and I have never heard of any of them. It was very tween boy band type stuff, but here are some pictures and videos anyway.

Allstar Weekend pulled some of the audience up on stage and this lucky girl got to sing a duet with the lead singer.

And of course, I took some videos of all the bands. Here's the only song I know from Allstar Weekend - Not Your Birthday. They actually sound really out of tune when they're singing it. Chinese New Year Celebration @ Aberdeen Centre (Jan 19-23)

The year of the Dragon is upon us and there are celebrations going around town to celebrate Chinese New Years! This weekend, Aberdeen Centre in Richmond is holding some festivities, including a flower and gift fair. There will be performances and great CNY sales. Chinese New Years falls on Monday, January 23rd so there will also be lion dancing (my favorite!) starting at 11 Monday morning. Make sure to check out the celebrations as it is said to bring you good luck!

Watch The Throne Concert Pictures @ Rogers Arena

I was lucky enough to get a pair of tickets to the Jay-Z and Kanye West Watch The Throne concert last night at Rogers Arena. It was a pretty epic concert, no opening act and just the two rap geniuses for a solid two hours. Every was pumped and rapping along and on their feet dancing. It was so much fun!
